Every week, I’ll be bringing you a comic book cover that I feel eclipses others out there—to the point I might just have to own it!
The BadAss Comic Book Cover for this week is for Star Wars: Knight Errant – Escape #1. Star Wars comic books are always interesting. The people at Dark Horse work hard at expanding the vision of George Lucas, adding new stories that left hungry Star Wars fans eager for more. After all, they gave us Dark Empire, a series of comic books that explored our beloved characters after the events of Return of the Jedi and Timothy Zahn’s Grand Admiral Thrawn trilogy. And Dark Horse hasn’t stopped creating new stories to enthrall us all.
Why do I love this cover though? It’s the scope. A Jedi in Sith territory springing forward to confront a monster out of nightmare. It’s the gaping mouth that could swallow her whole. It’s the pose she is striking with her lightsaber—and especially the lightning giving the piece an ominous feel. Love the design of the creature too! Nothing I’d want to go up against, that’s for sure!
