I am a little unsure of the out come of the live-action adaptions, but I'm excited either way!

I'm a girl and back in my high school days, I always watched this anime and I don't feel troubled with the sword-swinging and blood spatters because what my impression with his sword is not intended to kill a person or something (although I know that he was a criminal before who kill without mercy^^; but he intends to walk a clear path and so..) because he wants to come out clean after and repent his sins. I would love to watched it in big screen with real people acting although I know the blood spatters will trouble me because it is not an anime anymore hihihihi^^

Anyway, it would be a real thingy if they will just subtitled it in English. I want to hear the real emotions of a Japanese swordsman because after all, it is Japanese ya know?^^

I look forward to this almost as much as I look forward to the live action Bubblegum Crisis movie, even though I don't expect the BGC movie to be all that good.

As for what that other guy said, this movie could be pretty good if it's anything like a Zatoichi flick.

I'm not entirely sure what to think of all these manga/Anime adaptions right now. I love Kenshin and I love Akira but I just couldn't stand another "DragonBall" oder "Last Airbender".

Don't get me wrong, I've nothing against live-action adaptions in itself, I'm just sceptical because of past failures. And some of the Akira ideas I heard so far are just plainly...wrong in my ears.

But - it's about Kenshin here:

I really would love something in the style of Kurosawa or Kitano. Especially the latter would be just perfect for the humour side of Kenshin and Zatoichi is a perfect calling card in my eyes.

Well...only time can tell and as long as production and crew will be Japanese centered I'm looking forward to it.
