David Ury, one of Del Rey Manga’s most popular translators (Genshiken, The Wallflower) is a colorful guy. He attended college in Tokyo, learning to speak Japanese fluently enough to perform stand-up comedy and appear on Japanese television in his persona as the “zany Japanese-speaking foreigner.”
His “Long lost identical twin brother” Ken Tanaka is also a creator of original fiction and a string of entertaining videos. His “Scream of Slacker” was just named the winner of a 2010 YouTube Japan Video Award, and here’s Ken’s blogpost with the video itself–I commend it to you all. Don’t worry, it’s in English. . . .
